- How many times to you adjust/change your prototype?
We had to change our catapult 3 times. The first time, the catapult didn't go further than 1 foot, didn't have a stable base and wasn't high enough when the marshmallow hit the chair. We improved it by adding a base and more rubberbands. The second time we tested, it had the same problem, again and we were so angry that we added a bundle of rubberbands to the middle and tied an X. It also did not work because the catapult went backwards, one even hit my eye:) After changing for the last time, our popsicle stick broke. When I went home for the weekend, I decided to do some Understanding at home and figured out how to make a powerful hand.
- What was the most successful change you made?
The most successful change I made is to make a double base. It helped me a lot with launching because no one had to hold it for me and it also added more force to the lauching.I also think making a new hand is a good change to my catapult. The land only can also catapult so it's added force, which makes the catapult stronger. The new hand is also more stable than the old hand; the old hand broke but the new hand has 3 layers of popsicle sticks instead of 1.
